This is me… trying again! 😬❤️ If you’ve watched my stories lately, you’ve noticed I am actively trying to give my personal photography page more of my time, love and effort.

In March 2020 just before the pandemic rocked everyone’s world, I decided to leave one of my biggest freelance jobs to focus on my own business. I wanted to pour into this business in a way that I really couldn’t before. Then covid happened, the lockdown, the panic and fear etc. I could list at least 10 reasons why I didn’t start before the pandemic if you’re interested 😝

The thing is, I am always waiting for everything to be “perfect” and the older I get, the more I realize that it’s never going to be the perfect time.

So I am going to take the words of an old friend and…. just start. “Done is better than perfect.”

Over the next few weeks I am going to be posting some of my old work, some new work and I may even re-edit some images now that my style is evolving. A lot of the work I’ve done over the past several years I can’t post bc of HIPAA. 😕

I hope if you see it, you give it a little love. While I don’t love social media, esp these days, I know it can be a vital tool to connect people to my business. I prefer to stay behind the camera but I’ll keep pushing myself.

If you’re in Fairfield County, CT, think of me if you are pregnant or recommend me to someone that is. My heart is newborn photography and child portraiture.

It might be a little messy in the beginning but I’ve come to realize it’s best to just embrace the chaos. I’ll need some grace. I am not going to try to hide it lol. What you will eventually learn about me is that I will always give you my all.

In addition, I am still freelancing and taking on small partnerships. I’ll continue to share them as I can in my stories. I love posting the product shots from the farmers market and capturing wishes for @makeawishct

I am all in my feels today… My house is a mess.

I am all in my feels today… My house is a mess. It’s lunch time and we are still in pjs. He climbs into bed with us in the middle of the night and I am torn on wanting to hold him close while he is still little and being completely exhausted from getting kicked all night. This is our first week off from camp all summer and no schedule. Trying to embrace the chaos. We’ve come so far from the days of being so overwhelmed. He was not an easy baby/toddler to put it lightly.

My little boy is off to kindergarten in a few weeks. I am so sad he will be gone all day and so proud of the boy he is becoming. I could not love him more.

One day my house will be clean for more than 5 mins and I will be well rested but that will mean my little tornado is all grown up. I know I will miss these days - I somehow missed all those wished away days I was overwhelmed and he was a baby. I remember thinking I am not going to miss this. It was so hard — so so hard. Yet, here I am missing them.

The older version of me is whispering that into my ear… let go, be the fun mom, these days won’t last forever and you are going to miss it. It’s crazy bc I already do. I want to freeze time and yet continue to watch him grow. Motherhood. 😭😭😭

Wow. Yesterday I was speechless. When I was asked to capture this @makeawishct, I never expected to be so overwhelmed by a community. With very short notice and almost no details to go off of, the Westport community showed up for a little boy’s wish at the @westportwestonfamilyymca . I was overwhelmed with emotion seeing all of you cheering and clapping for him. He is so special and you all really made him feel the love. Thank you, Westport. Out of respect for the family I will not be sharing any images from the wish.
